Pet Therapy

At our counseling clinic, we are proud to incorporate pet therapy as a complementary approach to traditional mental health treatment. We have four certified therapy dogs – specially trained and evaluated animals known for their calm, friendly temperaments and ability to provide unconditional comfort. These gentle companions join select therapy sessions to help clients feel more at ease, fostering a safe and nurturing environment where emotional barriers can soften and healing can begin.

Pet Therapy

Research consistently shows that interacting with therapy dogs can significantly reduce stress and anxiety, lower blood pressure, and release feel-good hormones like oxytocin and serotonin, leading to improved mood and relaxation. Our certified therapy dogs offer non-judgmental presence that encourages openness, builds trust, and supports clients dealing with depression, trauma, PTSD, or everyday challenges. Whether through gentle petting, playful interaction, or simply sharing space, pet therapy enhances the therapeutic process, making it a valuable tool for emotional growth and well-being at our clinic.
